Honeymoon
________________________
African
honeymoons are becoming increasingly popular with newlyweds across
the world as there is so much on offer and the experience is completely
unique and exotic.
1. The Kruger
National Park, South Africa – This vast national park on
the border of Mozambique and Zimbabwe has been a protected area
for over a hundred years and has allowed for the wild life to
flourish. The Big Five can be found in abundance as well as amazing
bird life and flora and fauna. Another great thing about the Kruger
National Park is that there is accommodation to suit all budgets;
from standard chalets with on suite bathrooms and kitchenettes
to the ultimate in luxury safari
lodges.
2. Mozambique –
Mozambique has emerged as a jewel along the Southern African coastline.
With its crystal clear azure waters, powder white sandy beaches
and tropical islands, this is paradise found. My favourite place
in Mozambique is definitely Matemo Island, a private island in
the Quirimbus National Park, hypnotic with beauty. In Mozambique
African honeymoons just got tropical.
3. Lake Malawi, Malawi – This Lake’s clear blue tropical
waters teem with more tropical fish than any other lake in the
world. The beautiful accommodations on offer on the Lake will
ensure you have the most memorable honeymoon imaginable.
4. Zambia – Zambia
has an excellent array of national parks packed with animals and
birds. Also in Zambia you will find the Victoria Falls and the
Zambezi River, awe inspiring attractions that you simply must
check out if you visit. I don’t know if it’s the intoxicating
beauty of the scenery or the laid back nature of the local peoples
but Zambia really will have you coming back time and time again…
so go on and get drawn in on your African honeymoon.
5. Cape Town, South
Africa – Table Mountain
creates an amazing backdrop to this culturally rich city at the
tip of Africa. Cape Town has plenty to offer honeymooners and
there are plenty of day trips out from the city to fill your first
days as man and wife with some adventure. So whether you stay
in a romantic cottage on a wine farm, at the historic Mount Nelson
Hotel or in a small intimate boutique hotel
in the city centre or near the beach, the experience Cape Town
offers its guests is truly unforgettable.
